Hope Neyer

Writing Coach/College Applications/Executive Functioning Coach/Science Tutor

  Hope Neyer graduated magna cum laude from American University with a degree in Public Health. Hope worked as a teaching assistant and tutor at American and after graduating, was hired as an adjunct biology lab instructor. She is currently working as a medical assistant at a local pediatrics practice while applying to medical school.
      Hope believes that a scientific understanding of ourselves and the world around us is an important tool for any career and is excited to share her love of sciences like biology and chemistry with your student. She is also a published and award-winning creative writer recognized for her poetry, essays, and satire. Whether your student needs support with writing assignments or wants to stand out as a college applicant, Hope can help build their confidence and voice.
      Hope has experience working with neurodiverse learners and is committed to meeting every student where they are. Her past tutoring clients have gained study skills and confidence in assignment management, executive functioning and college-level writing.
      Outside of the classroom or library, Hope enjoys cycling, pointing out inaccuracies in her guilty-pleasure medical TV shows, and attempting to identify plants and insects she sees on walks and hikes.
